Vishisht Sanchar Seva Padak, 2011 Awardees..

Shri Raj Kumar Nath, SDE (NSS-I) O/o the DGM (NWO-I) CM, Circle Office, Guwahati, sincerely carried out the jobs encrusted with him in planning of GSM sites, getting SACFA clearance from the WPC wing of DOT and coordinating with vendor in getting the project implemented for Assam Circle. He also worked for CDMA planning very efficiently till he was transferred to CMTS operation Wing in June, 2004.

Shri Raj Kumar Nath had been a key person in the maintenance of  switch. It was with him that the in-house team of doing all technical works of Ericsson Switch started and this brought a sea change in the operation wing of CMTS. He was instrumental in maintenance of all the 3 MSCs at Panbazar, MGW and GMGW and has been very much successful in building the team , which without any help of M/s Ericsson, have been able to maintain the core network of GSM in Assam Circle. During 2010, it was Shri Raj Kumar Nath who was entrusted to start testing of MNP. Shri Nath completed the entire configuration of all the MSSes of Assam, solved all the critical technical problems and carried out acceptance testing and creation of ported numbers. He also looked into the commercial aspects of the MNP system and completed all the tasks suitably. This strenuous job was completed by him meticulously in a well manner within the stipulated time. In recognition of his extraordinary qualities and devotion to duties Shri Raj Kumar Nath had been honoured with the Vishisht Sanchar Seva Padak, 2010-11.

Shri Arun Kumar Das, SDE (TAX), Circle Office, was posted in the Dispur OCB Exchange, O/o the GMTD, Kamrup, on April, 2003. He maintained the MSU and the technical works of 11 nos. of RSUs and 9 nos. of DLC very efficiently. He has a very good and sound knowledge on the system of OCB, its RSUs & DLCs. He smoothly maintained all the above 21 switches. He could diagnose any technical fault developed in the systems and rectify the same promptly working day and night as and when required. He never left the exchange till rectification of all the faults. He had maintained all records of data related to the exchanges and submitted the same regularly in time and maintained a very high quality of works. He had also installed 9 nos. of DLCs and maintained them to the level best. For CDR implementation, he has taken a vital role for upgrading the OCB Switches, viz, implementation of TLV format, increase the buffer sizes, supplying all the relevant data to CDR installer etc.

Shri Das had set right the Chrsitianbasti Telephone Exchange within 24 hours by his sincere effort after afire hazard took place. His performance of work, sincere and dedicated services to the BSNL are highly praise worthy. In recognition of his exemplary devotion to duty and outstanding achievement during his tenure as SDE(OCB) under GMTD Kamrup, Shri Arun Kumar Das has been hounoured with the  Vishist Sanchar Seva Padak , 2011.

Shri Mantu Kumar Baishya, SDE(IT), Data Centre, O/o the CGM, Assam Circle, is performing various IT related activities and maintaining the BSNL Data Centre with extraordinary devotion, zeal and sincerity. His untiring and meticulous effort was instrumental in achieving recent successful migration of existing Landline database to CDR based billing system and WLL database to GSM platform.  Assam Circle has become the first Circle of BSNL to achieve 100% compliance of MNP with the help of a special drive given by Sri Baishya in publishing the Switch wise non-compliant CDRs in a web site and sending automatic SMS alert about the same to the Switch in-charges of all the SSAs.

He has developed the official website and local Intranet portal of Assam Circle. He has recently designed and developed a web based SMS software module for sending group and bulk SMS communications like daily Broadband DSLAM outage alert, CDR MIU error and dunning status alert etc., which has resulted in increased efficiency/productivity in related services. The online add-on web application module for e-payment of the cost of Tender documents through International Payment Gateway service, has also been painstakingly developed in-house by him. This facility has increased collection of tender cost money.  The online module for presentation of call detail records of BSNL mobile customers was also developed by Mr. Baishya. In response to an urgent requirement from HR Section, Sri Baishya developed a software module in a short notice to issue online E-Admit card for the examination held to recruit JTO for Person with Disability in December, 2010 without incurring any cost. The various web and SMS based application software solutions developed by Sri Baishya have resulted in financial savings to the tune of several lakhs of rupees

In recognition to his outstanding performance and excellent achievement, Sri Mantu Kumar Baishya has been honoured with the  Vishist Sanchar Seva Padak , 2011.
